This policy explains what information Ecolura collects when you visit ecolura.com or buy from us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Ecolura ("we", "us") is based in Sheridan, Wyoming, USA.
What we collect
- Order details. When you check out, our payment provider Stripe collects your name, email, shipping address, phone number and payment details. We receive your order, contact and shipping details. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages. If you email us or use our contact form, we keep your name, email and what you wrote so we can reply.
- Site activity. Pages you view, buttons you tap, the device and browser you use, your approximate location from your IP address, and the ad that brought you to us. We also record sessions and heatmaps to see where the page is confusing.
- Ad click data. If you arrive from a Snapchat ad, we keep the click ID Snapchat adds to the link.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, including refunds under our 60-day guarantee.
- To answer your questions.
- To understand how people use the site and make it better.
- To measure which ads lead to purchases.
- To prevent fraud and meet legal and tax duties.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with companies that help us run the store:
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Our fulfillment partner and shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
- PostHog, for site analytics, session recordings and heatmaps.
- Snap Inc., through the Snap Pixel and Conversions API, to measure our Snapchat ads. When you buy, we send Snap your order value and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email and phone number so Snap can match the purchase to an ad. Under some US state laws this counts as "sharing" for advertising.
- Vercel, which hosts this website.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies and similar tools
We and the services above use cookies and browser storage to keep the site working, count visits and measure ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, but we cannot measure your visit.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for ad measurement (opt out of "sharing"). Email hello@ecolura.com with your request. We reply within 30 days and will not treat you differently for asking. Depending on where you live, including California and other US states, you may have more rights under local law, and you can ask someone to make a request for you.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as tax and accounting law requires. We keep messages and site data only as long as we need them for the reasons above.
Security
Payments run on Stripe's secure checkout. We limit who can access your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
